Jon Mullen

Upon completion of his formal training in the arts (a "D" in high school photography), Jon Mullen took the only next logical step and moved halfway across the country to study engineering. He is now fortunate enough to again pursue his lifelong passion for freeze-dried cuisine, crawling out of the tent before dawn in foul weather and running from the occasional hungry carnivore like a scared little girl.

His work has been published over 200 times, with credits ranging from Women's Adventure Magazine to Berg Und Steigen (journal of risk management in mountaineering). His photography has raised funds for Rocky Mountain PBS, the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, and the Colorado Center on Law and Policy. In addition to numerous solo gallery exhibits, his work was recently awarded "Best in Show" at the Boulder Creek Festival's juried competition. Stock photography is represented by Alamy.
